The version 2.0 of QTP Clean Uninstaller is now out. It does a lot more than version 1.0. Here are list of changes that went in version 2.0
- Fixed bug in the key scanning process which used to add non-existent keys
- Fixed bug in the QTP keys where the count was shown as 2 even after cleaning
- No deletes additional keys AppID, Programs, Component, Uninstall string
- Resolves “Setup has determined a previous installation has not completed. You should restart the system in order to complete this process”
- Resolves upgrade issue “Installation has detected QuickTest Professional X.XX installed on your computer. You must uninstall this version before you can install QuickTest Professional Y.YY. After you uninstall you must restart your computer. Do you want to uninstall QuickTest Professional X.XX now”
- The tool is also capable of removing all Demo version related keys. But this feature has been disabled as this tool is not intended to be a crack for QTP
- Adds capability for system administrators to do automated uninstall of all QTP components using command line parameters
- Automatically creates a restore point before starting the cleaning process
Command line parameters
/autosilent - Automatically uninstall existing QTP installations, scan and clean QTP keys
/nouninstall - Do not uninstall QTP or it’s component (Not recommended)
/? - display command line parameter help
