ReporterManager.VBS and Excel process in Task Manager
« on: May 18, 2009, 02:28:28 am »
Hello,
In the past fw years we are using the ReporterManager in our tests-runs.
We have a problem that apeears in all machines using all ReporterManager versions (Old and new), The problem is:
After an excel report is created for Test X, and a new Excel - report created for Test Y, the Excel process in TM remains up.
Due to the above, when tests-run is ended, I have to manually stop Excel process (number of process = number of tests in the tests-set).
Is this a known problem?
What is the solution?
Any help is appreciated
thank you all

Haven't worked with this as such. But looking at the code the StopEngine is having the clean up code to close the excel application. I would suggest you to add some Print statements to the same and make sure the oEngine.Quit is getting executed.
